this was an ideal excursion. everything was so good. the servers were really nice and funny and the lighting was great along the riverside. it goes without saying that you should get the fried goat cheese and brussel sprouts, but the truffle fries took me by surprise. it is a little difficult to get a seat without a reservation but we made it! shoutout callie.

We had a great experience at the lazy goat. Loved the atmosphere, our waiter was super attentive and the food was delicious. The fried goat cheese with honey was amazing. I loved the trout and my husband really enjoyed his lamb. If you are looking for a nice night out in Greenville highly recommend!

After an awesome day of hiking at Rainbow Fall in SC, we were starving! We checked out our options nearby and decided on The Lazy Goat. We didn't have a reservation. After a short wait, they sat us. The service was super fast and great, and the food was incredibly delicious. All in all, an amazing experience. We'll definitely be back!

YUM! Cute spot downtown with tasty and well-priced food. Drinks were exceptionally good and probably the best price for a martini I have seen in Greenville. We recommend the casarecce, chicken souvlaki, gambas al ajillo, fried goat cheese, and orange dessert. A friend ordered pasta off the vegetarian menu and it was very plain, could have been better even without meat. Servers and hostesses were very kind!

Ordered hummus, fried goat cheese, bread service, Brussels sprouts, stuffed dates, lamb, chicken souvlaki, chicken tagine, baby carrots, and Spanish chorizo as a side. All exceptional. Turkish coffee crème brûlée was transcendent. All staff were very accommodating. Our server was knowledgeable, customer-focused, had great recommendations, and was a joy to be around. The wine list was the biggest and best quality I’ve seen in Greenville. Galipette cider is not to be missed. Quince and sherry sour was very complex. Can’t wait to go back!

Drop everything and go to the Lazy Goat! You will be impressed with every part of the dining experience, including the enticing European atmosphere. Our server, Zachary, was extraordinary. He was cheerful, informative, and accessible. He expressed passion for his role in ensuring that every part of our meal was customized to our preferences. Our appetizer and entrees were the epitome of fresh, and as exceptional as our favorite restaurants in Italy! Our dessert was also among the finest we’ve ever tasted. Zachary is seen in the photo carefully capping our dessert with lemon zest simply because we mentioned that we would prefer a lemon dessert and the one on the menu featured orange! On a personal note, Zachary confided in us about his hobbies and was a captivating speaker. Zachary, please e sure that your boom project stays on course for publication! You are an asset to the Lazy Goat, and to the public. We’re further grateful that the owner, Carl, was seated at the table next to us during our dessert, and we seized the opportunity to share our opinion of Zachary. The only reason we won’t be returning soon is because we live in NJ and we’re on a vacation in Greenville. We highly recommend the Lazy Goat.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed this spot. Excellent location right on the river and tons do windows to let in the natural light. The wine selection is outstanding. We went with a delicious sparkling rose. We got Brussels and hummus and a chicken pita as the main. It was all outstanding. Highly recommend!

So I’m giving this place 5 stars because everyone except the hostess was outstanding! Truly attentive and friendly service. The hostess was awful. She clearly knew her job but was short with people and unfriendly. Never smiled once and seemed bothered when people came to check in. The food was great. Tasty and hot. Highly recommend this place and hope the hostess is in a better mood or you are able to avoid her.

My fiancée and I went to the Lazy Goat for dinner and it was a fantastic experience. We had a seat that looked out over the Reedy River and the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. We ordered 2 apps to start with: Fried Goat Cheese and the Traditional Hummus. The Fried Goat Cheese is a must!! Each ball was so flavorful and perfectly crispy with a pleasant drizzle of honey. I also loved the hummus and I especially liked the crispy lavash bread that came with it. For our entrees, my fiancée ordered the Trout main and I ordered the Casarecce pasta. Her trout was absolutely perfect and the skin was super crispy! We loved the zhoug sauce with it as well. My Casarecce was literally the best pasta I’ve ever eaten. I loved the creamy pesto sauce and the zucchini was a great fresh addition. To top it all off, the service was fantastic and we never felt rushed to leave even though every table was full. This is hands-down one of the best “fancy” restaurants in Greenville and it is certainly worth the price. If you’re a fan of any Mediterranean cuisine, you’ve gotta come here!
